The Indian Harbour Beach Police Department is Catching KIDS, doing good things! The Police Department is announcing OPERATION: Shark Watch! This new and exciting initiative is getting our Police officers to be on the lookout for IHB Kids wearing seat belts, Bicycling or skate boarding wearing proper safety equipment and obeying their parents! If our COPS catch your Sharks doing the right things we will reward them with gift certificates from a local business, a sticker and a certificate from Chief Butler. We will also get a picture of the Sharks together and post it on our social Media pages for all to see!
Today, Ofc. Adams was caught by two local scouts and presented with a, "Thank-a-Lot" bag of Girl Scout Cookies by a brother and sister, Mason and Morgan, to thank him for all he does! Ofc. Adams appreciated this gesture and gave both children a Shark Watch sticker and a McFlurry Certificate from our friends at the E Eau Gallie McDonald's. Mom, Tina, gave us permission to post the picture of these great kids with Ofc. Adams!

On September 10th, 2016 our very own Officer Jennifer Imperato was the subject of Triple Shark Watch! Brian and Ronnie of Titusville, FL "Caught" Officer Imperato and wanted to thank her for her service and shake her hand. She in turn was impressed with these two for their act of kindness and presented them both with a Shark Watch Sticker and free McDonald's McFlurry each. Their mother gave full approval to use the photo to post on social media and was absolutely thrilled to hear about the program. We serve...We Care!
On Wednesday August 17th, 2016 Ofc. Wimmer was "caught" helping a child leaving Ocean Breeze with a bicycle problem as he was assisting with crossing guards during school zones enforcement. Ofc. Wimmer is a great example of the motto, "We Serve...We Care."
Officer "Finn" the Shark and Ofc. Swenson caught our first outstanding children. Jaden and Zion were spotted hosting a lemonade stand in the community at Pinetree Dr and S Osceola with their mother. Not only were they making productive use of their time, but the stand was called "Refresh America" and they learned about the free market/capitalism and about what makes our country so great. This type of productive use of time, coupled with the excellent patriotic message struck Ofc. Swenson as worthy of a "catch." Their mother gave full approval to use the photo as we wish and was absolutely thrilled to hear about the program.
